Christina and I walk in and I can hear in my head the lyrics… Sometimes you want to go
Where everybody knows your name
And they’re always glad you came
You want to be where you can see
Our troubles are all the same
You want to be where everybody knows your name
We’re greeted with smiles and drinks and “how’s it goings.”
We enjoy drinks and pizza with pasta on it and chat and chat and chat.
It’s just what we need on a Friday night the week after a week off.
Sometimes you want to go
Where everybody knows your name
And they’re always glad you came
You want to be where you can see
Our troubles are all the same
You want to be where everybody knows your name
I tried to start watching Cheers with the kids! Another fun day for you!

Lucky you for having a local spot that gives you a sense of belonging, especially after a busy and hectic week.

I love the way you connect your own familiar local spot and the familiar faces in it with the show. It’s always good to feel welcome.

You have fun adventures. The song was a perfect lead and ending!

Brought to mind our “Old Shilleleigh” (sp?) in the heart of Detroit where it was Saint Patrick’s Day every Saturday and the band and the bouncers knew us by name. How fun to know Covid has not taken that away from you!
