I Heart My Neighborhood

It was around 7pm on Sunday evening. Dark and dreary outside. I was prepping for the week ahead by doing laundry. All of a sudden I saw lights outside. I pause. Those aren’t the lights of the firehouse outside. I kept folding. I hear something. I pause. What is that? A song?

I abandoned my laundry and went in search of what the lights and music was. I run onto my porch (in my PJs). To my surprise there was a Halloween float going by my house. Not once but twice. Ghosts dancing and music blaring.

‘Cause this is thriller, thriller night
And no one’s gonna save you
From the beast about to strike
You know it’s thriller, thriller night
You’re fighting for your life inside a killer
Thriller tonight, yeah
Ooh

Yet another reason why my neighborhood is amazing!

  1. I want to be in your neighborhood! You build the anticipation in that first paragraph and you had me thinking it was a neighbor who just lit up their front yard for Halloween. A float pulled by a golf cart!!??!! Couldn’t love that any more!!
