Goodbye to the Star Wars fanatic.
Goodbye to the student who knew everyone.
Goodbye to the boy who knows all about WWE but didn’t share enough of that knowledge with me.
Goodbye to the girl who had to tell me many, MANY times how to say her last name.
Goodbye to the student who spoke Italian.
Goodbye to the student who always participates in his own quiet way.
Goodbye to the girl who gave lots of hugs.
Goodbye to the boy who added flare to every Flipgrid he created.
Goodbye to the student who is on top of it all with her facts from books and about life.
Goodbye to the student with the huge backpack and even bigger heart.
Goodbye to the boy who loved writing about LeBron.
Goodbye to the student who forgot his sweatshirts often but had the biggest heart.
Goodbye to the student who could answer any sports question.
Goodbye to the fashionista.
Goodbye to the student who enjoyed sketching our math friends.
Goodbye to the boy whose favorite color was yellow.
Goodbye to the student who always had a smile on her face, especially with her dog in the background.
Goodbye to the girl who loved playing with Legos.
Goodbye to the student who always had a connection or fact to share.
Goodbye to the parents who graciously helped me through this wacky end of the school year.
Goodbye to my first grade class of 2020. While we didn’t get to end the year together, we sure did make a lot of memories while we were.
Miss you already!
So sweet. To know them all is a gift. The end of the school year was always bittersweet as a classroom teacher. I bet you wish you could give them all a big hug. They’re lucky to have you. ❤️

This is our last week of school. I spent all of last week writing a postcard to each of my 73 students. I dropped them in the mail yesterday. It’s a weird way to say goodbye.

Super sweet. You know your kids – they are not a number or level or data or copy-paste report comment – they are children with stories.

What a wonderful way to celebrate your kids — this slice is a testament to how will you knew each and every child – and that is what they will remember – you knew them!

Love the way you see each student in your writing. It was a bitter goodbye this year.
